Strawberry picking experience will give you so much fun and you can bring 500g ~ 1kg of strawberries home you actually picked. But this is a seasonal event from Dec to early June, and Jan. ~ Apr. is the best season of quality strawberries. Try this if you are seeking some unique experiences.
Namiseom Island was formed as a result of the construction of the Cheongpyeong Dam. It is a half-moon-shaped (462, 809㎡) isle, and on it is the grave of General Nami, who led a great victory against the rebels in the 13th year of the 7th king of the Joseon Dynasty, King Sejo (reign 1455 ~ 1468). Namiseom Island is 63km from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon, and it is famous for its beautiful, tree-lined roads. The island is 30 minutes away from Chuncheon and an hour away from the suburbs of Seoul. Since it is not far from Seoul, many couples and families come to visit.
Petite France is the only places in Korea to experience French style buildings which has a gallery showing the works of Saint Exupery, as well as the Orgel House which features beautiful antique music boxes. A variety of hands on activities and exhibition with a beautiful scenery are available all year around. Also the smash hit Korean drama ‘You Who came from the stars’ was filmed here.
